Burned Alive!

In the early hours of last Tuesday, journalist Ahmad Mansour was martyred in Gaza after being burned alive as a result of an Israeli airstrike that targeted the journalists’ tent adjacent to the Nasser Medical Complex in Khan Younis at dawn on Monday.

Ahmad did not carry a weapon; he carried his camera and his pen, bearing witness to the truth in a time when voices are silenced and realities are obscured. He was not merely a reporter of news, but the world’s eye on the pain, his heart with every child’s cry and every home demolished by the occupation.

His body was consumed by flames, but his voice was not and will not be extinguished. His name will remain etched in the memory of freedom and in the conscience of all who believe that a truthful word is mightier than the oppressor’s bullets.
