Shocking Testimony: Lawyer Reveals Harsh Conditions of Dr. Hussam Abu Safieh’s Detention in Israeli Prison

Lawyer Ghaid Ghanem Qassem revealed harrowing details following her recent visit to Dr. Hussam Abu Safieh, currently detained in Israeli prisons.

According to Qassem, Abu Safieh has lost 40 kilograms, dropping from 100kg to just 60kg. She stated that he was brutally beaten in the chest, face, head, and neck for nearly 30 continuous minutes.

Despite his deteriorating health, Israeli authorities have denied him access to proper medical care or a specialized doctor, even though he suffers from irregular heartbeats. The lawyer also reported that Abu Safieh is still wearing winter clothes, despite the harsh detention conditions, including starvation, torture, and isolation.

She further noted that her client is held in an underground cell that receives no sunlight, further exacerbating his physical and psychological suffering.
