Dina Zaarab used to paint the martyrs as if she had known them personally, memorizing their features with each brushstroke. Through her art, she sought to give them a second life, one that would keep their presence alive among us.
But in a treacherous airstrike, her fate intertwined with theirs.
In a small wooden room across from the “Sand Beach” resort west of Khan Younis, her life was taken, just as it had been stolen from the many faces she lovingly brought to life through her art.
