For the sixth day: The occupation continues to close Al-Aqsa Mosque and the Church of the Holy Sepulchre
The Israeli occupation authorities continue to close the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque and the Church of the Holy Sepulchre for the sixth consecutive day, imposing a strict military siege on the gates of the Old City, amid daily night raids targeting towns and neighborhoods of Jerusalem Governorate, along with retaliatory measures that worsen the suffering of residents and disrupt their social and economic lives.
Jerusalem Governorate stated in a press release that with the martyrdom of the young man Moataz Hamza Hussein Al-Hajjajleh (21 years old) early today, from the village of Al-Walaja southwest of Jerusalem, after being brutally assaulted by occupation forces, the number of Jerusalemite martyrs whose bodies are still withheld has risen to 47, the oldest being martyr Jasser Shatat since 1968, and the newest being Al-Hajjajleh. The governorate considered this policy collective punishment contradicting international humanitarian law, depriving families of the right to properly bid farewell to and bury their sons with dignity.

Thousands of citizens were forced to wait for long hours under the sun, causing widespread traffic paralysis and additional suffering for students, patients, and employees. The system of checkpoints, gates, and earthen barriers now exceeds 85 inspection points, reflecting the occupation's escalation in attempts to separate Jerusalem from its Palestinian surroundings.
Violent raids occurred last night in Jerusalem neighborhoods, especially Silwan, Al-Issawiya, Al-Tur, and Shuafat refugee camp, including assaults on citizens, house searches, and intense firing of tear gas and stun grenades. In the town of Abu Dis east of the city, several citizens were injured due to severe beatings and suffocation during extensive neighborhood raids.
Jerusalem Governorate also reported that occupation forces arrested the young man Maher Ayed Rabie from the town of Beit I’an northwest of the city today after raiding his home at d
