Haaretz - The aggressive settlers are not merely a small fringe group; they are violent extremists

The settlers involved in violent acts cannot be considered merely a marginal group or an isolated minority. In fact, they represent a real and serious threat, characterized by their violent extremism that goes beyond individual assaults to include organized operations aimed at destabilizing the region’s security and humanitarian situation. These violent groups do not limit their threats to the local level, but their actions extend to impacting regional peace and intensifying the cycle of violence and conflict. Therefore, ignoring or downplaying the scale of this phenomenon is not an option; it requires the international community to adopt firm positions to confront these challenges and ensure security and justice for all parties involved.

Unfortunately, the Israeli government behaves as though these events are not actually happening. It is true that Itamar Ben-Gvir, who has been convicted several times for supporting terrorism and inciting the "Hilltop Youth" to continue violent acts as part of their daily lives, is no longer part of the government. However, his spirit, values, and hatred still guide the actions of government bodies in the West Bank. In this way, a broad and comfortable environment has been created for Jewish terrorist elements to operate without fear of law enforcement.
