Jerusalem, and the Gaza Strip) and the diaspora (Jordan, Lebanon, and Syria)
reaches 5.9 million.
Number of Refugees in Palestine:
- 1.58 million refugees in Gaza
- 912,879 refugees in the West Bank and Jerusalem
Education:
- 48,192 students are enrolled in the West Bank and Jerusalem, while 286,645 students are registered in Gaza.
- UNRWA operates more than 282 schools in Palestine, with 96 schools in the West Bank and Jerusalem and 186 in the Gaza Strip.
Healthcare:
- 895,000 refugees in the West Bank would be deprived of free primary healthcare, while 304,000 in Gaza would lose access.
- Approximately 22 health centers in the Gaza Strip are threatened with closure, compared to 43 in the West Bank and Jerusalem.
Relief and Humanitarian Assistance:
- About 98,935 beneficiaries of the relief and humanitarian assistance program in Gaza would lose food aid, compared to 36,117 beneficiaries in the West Bank and Jerusalem.
Employment and Refugee Labor:
- The number of employees across all sectors in the West Bank and Jerusalem is 3,037, while in the Gaza Strip it reaches 13,000.
